BLOG 2 -SENTENCE STRUCTURE

SIMPLE SENTENCE

1     A SIMPLE SENTENCE has one independent clause.                                                             


Example: 
Annie like to dance
Betty goes to the church.
                           
COMPOUND SENTENCE
1       A COMPOUND SENTENCE has two independent clauses joined by;
                      
Example: 
Annie  wanted to study, so Tom went fishing alone.
Annie wanted to sleep, for Tom went bowling.

      COMPLEX SENTENCE
      A COMPOUND-COMPLEX SENTENCE has two independent clauses joined to one or more dependent clauses.
           
       Example:
       The model returned the clothes after she finished with the ramp walk. 
       When Ann woke up in the morning, she forgot to call her friend for notes.
   
      COMPOUND-COMPLEX SENTENCE
1      A COMPOUND-COMPLEX SENTENCE has two independent clauses joined to one or    more  dependent clauses.
  
        Example 1:
       Though Mitchell prefers watching romantic films, he rented the latest spy thriller,
  and he enjoyed it very much.
        Example 2:
   Laura forgot her friend's birthday, so she sent her a card when she finally
   remembered.
